Overnight on the train

Hotel: Overnight train Ayutthaya-Chiang Mai on 2nd class Sleeper A/C cabin

After breakfast, we will drive through the small roads of Chiang Mai by Tuk Tuk. Our Tuk Tuk takes us around the old city to observe Chiang Mai’s holy religious monuments with the earliest left-behind architecture. We will visit Wat Phra Singha, Wat Chedi Luang, and other highlights. The afternoon is free for self-exploration.

Today, we leave our luggage at the hotel and drive to the local market, where our guide will take us to visit the local market. We then drive into the mountains to the trek point. The hike is approximately three hours through the beautiful jungle with stunning views, ending at an authentic hill tribe village. Our trek is a moderate walk to the hidden nature and a walking path traversing into the forest with various plants to study along the way. Our curiosity is piqued as we discover unique plants and animals along the way, such as the vibrant butterflies fluttering by and the exotic orchids blooming on the trees. Our guide is knowledgeable and shares interesting facts about the flora and fauna, enriching our experience even further.

As we approach the hill tribe village, we’re greeted by friendly locals and learn about their traditional way of life. We’re fascinated by their culture and customs, and our curiosity is further fueled as we immerse ourselves in their way of life. We will stay in a basic homestay for the night, which offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the local culture and customs. Overall, the trek through the stunning mountain terrain is a memorable experience full of moments of curiosity and wonder.

After breakfast, we will enjoy bamboo rafting down the river at a relaxing pace, taking in the natural surroundings with beautiful mountain views. We will rest and have lunch at Sop Kai before riding our truck back to Chiang Mai City.
